EUR/CZK is a tad firmer on the day, last changing hands +0.061 at 24.617. On the topside, the focus is on Oct 26, 2023/Jul 7, 2022 highs of 24.747/24.797. On the downside, bears see Nov 3 low of 24.365 as their initial target, followed by the key 24.3 support area.

  • Czechia posted a surprise current account surplus of CZK33.44bn in September versus expectations of a 15.00bn deficit. This comes after a CZK26.31bn deficit recorded in August.
  • Otherwise, local headline flow has been relatively light. Chamber of Deputies Speaker Marketa Adamova Pekarova was re-elected as leader of her TOP09 party.
  • CZGB yields are mixed across the curve. The PX Index has added 0.5% this morning.
