White House Economic Adviser Larry Kudlow has said that the threat from COVID-19 is not over, but says that 'the numbers are turning in our favour, with fatalities leveling off"

  • This is in spite of the US recording its highest number of COVID-19 fatalities on August 12 since May 27.
  • Adds that President Trump is a 'very strong proponent' of reopening schools for 'social and education reasons'.
  • Says "we saw and economic rebound beginning in May. There is a housing boom, a truckers boom,. and small businesses are reopening."
  • Argues that unemployment rates will come down to single-digits, "maybe in August".
  • "I expect 20% growth or more in Q3 and a very strong 2021."
