Late session bounce off lows: stock stil l weaker but off midday lows, DJIA outperforming at the moment, SPX still in the red is making session highs, possibly as semiconductor stocks weighing on IT sector pared losses in late trade. Currently, SPX eminis trade -14.25 points (-0.36%) at 3942; DJIA - 6.44 points (-0.02%) at 31502.18; Nasdaq -129.9 points (-1.1%) at 11684.7.

  • SPX leading/lagging sectors: Utilities sector continued to outperform (+1.29%) lead by Southern Companies (SO) +2.23%, American Electric (AEP) +1.68, Evergy Inc (ED) +2.03%.; Health Care +1.20% and Consumer Staples +0.38% follow. Laggers: Energy sector underperformed -2.0 as crude remained wek (WTI -3.06 at 86.49), Materials -1.79% and Information Technology scaled back earlier losses to -1.16% while semiconductors bounced off lows (Nvidia -8.96% vs. -11.64% earlier, Monolithic Power -7.17% vs. -10.0%, AMD -4.51% vs. -6.74%, AMAT -3.22% vs. -4.84%).
  • Dow Industrials Leaders/Laggers: Amgen (AMGN) adding to midweek gains +4.35 at 244.65, United Health (UNH) +4.18 at 523.54, McDonalds (MCD) +3.71 at 255.1. Laggers: Boeing (BA) -7.73 at 152.52, Microsoft (MSFT) -3.20 at 258.27, Salesforce.Com (CRM) adding to Wed selloff -2.97 at 153.15.
