Libyan Oil Production Slipped to 1.163mn bpd Start of Week

Libya’s National Oil Company announced yesterday that crude production had fallen to 1,163,000 bpd in the last 24 hours and production of condensate had dropped to 48,000 bpd.

  • NOC had on Sunday said that crude production was at 1,224,000 bpd and condensate at 54,000 bpd.
  • NOC attributed the production decrease to technical problems related to electricity in the Masala and Sarir oil fields.
  • The statement said special technical teams of the Arabian Gulf Oil Company are working on the problems to try and return production to former levels in the short term.
