US TSYS: Little movement for T-Notes at the re-open, with the contract sticking
to a tight range, last unch. at 127-15.
- President Trump continued his critique of the Fed over the weekend, while Iran
breached a limit on uranium enrichment that was set under the 2015 nuclear deal.
Iran's deputy foreign minister stressed that the country still wants to salvage
the deal but blamed European countries for failing to live up to their
commitments. Meanwhile, French President Macron said on Saturday he and Iran's
President Rouhani have agreed to seek conditions for resuming dialogue
surrounding the matter by July 15.
- Friday's strong headline NFP print pressured the space in the final trading
session of last week, with markets winding out pricing of a 50bp cut from the
Fed at its July meeting to a mere 5%.
- The text of the Fed's semi-annual monetary report to congress revealed little
in the way of fresh insight, with focus this week set to fall on Fed Chair
Powell's Q&A sessions in front of the relevant House & Senate committees
(Wednesday & Thursday).
