FOREX: Little new to report on the G10 FX front, with price action subdued
across the board. The Antipodeans have gained some traction alongside GBP & CAD,
at the expense of safe havens and Scandies.
- In Asian FX, KRW has softened a tad, even as Yonhap reported that the U.S. has
offered high-level trade talks with South Korea and Japan.
- Fed non-voter Kashkari noted that the Fed does not target USD but watches it.
He also reiterated his call for a 50bps rate cut.
- U.S. President Trump said that he's "not a fan of Bitcoin and other
Cryptocurrencies," while "Facebook's Libra will have little dependability."
- Today's data highlights include Chinese trade figures, U.S. PPI, as well as
industrial production figures from Japan and the EZ. Speeches from ECB's de Cos
and Visco, BoE's Vlieghe, Norges Bank's Nicolaisen and Fed's Evans are
scheduled, with Riksbank's July MonPol meeting minutes due.
