LNG: ADNOC Agrees 15 Year LNG Supply to IOC

ADNOC has agreed a heads of agreement to supply Indian Oil Corp. with 1m tons/year of LNG for 15 years, according to a statement from ADNOC.

  • The supply will come primarily from the Ruwais export project.
  • Shell, TotalEnergies, BP and Mitsui have all taken a 10% stake in the Ruwais project which is expected to come online in late 2028.
  • Two plants at the facility will each produce 4.8mtpa of LNG to more than double ADNOC's LNG capacity to 15mtpa.
  • ADNOC sees future growth from gas and LNG, along with renewable energy and petrochemicals.
