LNG at Sea Rose 12% Last Week

The estimated quantity of LNG on tankers that have not unloaded for at least 20 days increased by 12% over the last week to 3.36mn tons as of 14 January, according to Bloomberg estimates.

  • Volumes are well above 2023 levels of 2.133mn tons for the same period and above the five-year average of 1.49mn tons.
  • LNG on tankers that have not unloaded for at least 30 days also rose to 1.426mn tons as of 14 January, up from 1.082mn tons a week earlier.
