LNG
China's LNG imports in July were marginally lower year on year but approximately in line with both last year and the previous record high from 2021, according to ICIS.
- China imports rose 3.4% m/m to 6.1m tonnes but were just 1.6% lower y/y.
- The Asian share of global LNG imports rose to 60% in July and the highest since Jan 2022. Europe’s share fell 3 percentage points to the lowest since September 2021 at 17%.
