LNG: Egypt Tender for 20 LNG Cargoes for Q4 Fully Awarded

Egypt's recent tender for 20 LNG cargoes from October to December to cover winter demand has been fully awarded, according to Reuters sources.

  • Cargoes were awarded at a premium of between $1.70-$1.90 to the Dutch TTF gas benchmark.
  • The tender was for 17 cargoes for delivery to the floating import terminal at Ain Sukhna and a further three cargoes delivered into Aqaba, Jordan.
  • LNG imports from the previous exporter have this year risen to the highest level since 2018 with Egypt buying over 20 cargoes to date through Q3. 80% of Egypt’s LNG imports so far have come from the US.
