The LNG vessel the Energos Princess is carrying the first full cargo from New Fortress Energy's Fast LNG project off Altamira, Mexico according to ICIS vessel tracking. 

  • NFE said it was heading to Europe, although the country is uncertain at present. It has recently passed the bottom of Florida.
  • The US DoE has authorised Mexico’s 1.4m mtpa Altamira LNG export terminal to load cargoes produced from US gas to countries without free trade agreements with the US according to Argus in early September.
  • This was the first new non-FTA permit issued to an LNG export terminal since the Biden administration announced a pause on new non-FTA authorisations in January.
