LNG: US LNG Cargo Exports Fell to Just 20 Last Week: EIA

LNG - The number of US LNG export cargoes fell to 20 last week from 23 the previous week, according to the EIA as feedgas flows to US LNG export terminals also declined.

  • Total capacity of the vessels was down to the lowest since January at 75bcf based on Bloomberg data.
  • Average natural gas deliveries to US LNG export terminals decreased by 0.8bcf/d from last week, averaging 11.1bcf/d, according to data from S&P Global Commodity Insights.
  • Natural gas deliveries to terminals in South Louisiana increased by 1.3% (0.1bcf/d) to 7.8bcf/d while deliveries to South Texas fell 27.9% (0.9bcf/d) to 2.2bcf/d amid disruption at the Freeport LNG facility since July 7.
  • US LNG export terminal feedgas flows are today up to 11.39bcf/d according to Bloomberg with Freeport supply up to 0.76bcf/d, equivalent to the operation of one of the three trains. Freeport said July 15 that it expects to restart its first LNG train this week followed by trains 2 & 3 shortly after.
  • Analysts say Freeport has cancelled between 7-10 cargoes as a result of delays with the number expected to grow, Reuters said. An estimated 16 to 20 cargoes may be impacted, according to Kpler yesterday.
