Lukoil Not Ruling Out Sale of Bulgarian Refinery

REFINING

Russia’s Lukoil has not ruled out the sale of its assets in Bulgaria according to Tass reports.

  • Bulgaria’s ruling coalition members reached agreement to end an exemption on Russian oil imports which feed Lukoil’s refinery in the Black Sea city of Burgas, from the beginning of March its Finance Minister Assen Vassilev told reporters in Sofia in mid-November.
  • Under the deal, which is yet to be discussed and approved by parliament, Bulgaria will end exports of products from Russian oil from January.
