GILT SUMMARY: Making the most of the extended Brexit deadline, European Council
Donald Tusk has warned both sides to resist the temptation to 'get it over with'
and has stated that he still dreams of the UK remaining in the EU. However, Tusk
has few allies wanting to reverse Brexit. 
- German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas has warned that a further Brexit extension
is not possible, while also admonishing the lack of clarity from Westminster:
"Just think about it: you say you want to leave Europe and then you hold a
European Parliament election".
- Gilts have been trading in a relatively tight 2bp range. Current yield levels:
2-year 0.789%, 5-year 0.937%, 10-year 1.221%, 30-year 1.722%.
- The Jun-19 gilt future trades at 126.84, in the middle of the day's range and
inline with the previous close.
- Short sterling futures trade mixed in white and broadly flat in
reds/greens/blues.
