Marginally Firmer, Narrow Ranges In Asia

NZD

NZD/USD prints at $0.6050/55, the pair is up ~0.1% thus far.

  • Kiwi has ticked higher in narrow ranges in todays Asian session, NZD/USd briefly testing the 200-Day EMA ($0.6363) after another strong Yuan fixing from the PBOC however the move did not follow through and the early $0.6045/60 range persists.
  • AUD/NZD is a touch lower today, the cross remains well within the $1.08/09 range which has been observed through November.
  • The cross asset space is muted as the proximity to tomorrow's US holiday limits activity. US Tsy Yields are a touch higher and BBDXY is unchanged. The Hang Seng is little changed.
  • Wider swings in risk sentiment remain as the primary driver in NZD.
