MNI: BOJ: Uchida To Assist Governor on International Affairs

TOKYO (MNI) - The Bank of Japan said Monday that Shinichi Uchida, who has
headed the central bank department for drafting monetary easing measures, has
been promoted to executive director in charge of international affairs,
effective on April 1.
Uchida, 55, was the BOJ Nagoya branch manager until March 31. He replaced
Eiji Maeda as "assistant governor" who supports Haruhiko Kuroda in policy
coordination with other central banks on various international issues.
Maeda moved on to become executive director in charge of monetary policy,
replacing Masayoshi Amamiya, who took office as one of the two deputy governors
on March 20.
