MNI BRIEF: Brexit Talks Hit Buffers As Differences Remain

LONDON (MNI)

Brexit talks have been put on hold as the UK and the European Union cannot find 'conditions for agreement' in the key areas of level playing field, fisheries and governance, the EU's chief negotiator Michel Barnier tweeted Friday.

Talks have been paused for Barnier and UK negotiator David Frost to brief their principles on the state of play. @President @vonderleyen and Prime Minister Johnson will discuss the state of play tomorrow afternoon," Barnier said.
