MNI BRIEF: China To Keep Policy Prudent, Neutral: PBOC Sun

China's monetary policy stance must be 'prudential and neutral' this year, supporting the economic recovery while avoiding a flood of liquidity, Sun Guofeng, head of the Monetary Policy Department of the People's Bank of China wrote in an article published on the bank-run China Finance website.

The central bank should boost the flexibility of the yuan, keep the currency stable, whilst at the same time strengthen macro-prudential management of cross-border capital flows, Sun added.
