(MNI) Frankfurt

EU finance ministers approved the Irish and Czechia Recovery Fund plans this morning, following a short informal video conference, an EU spokesperson has said. Commission Executive Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis said that the approval brought the total number of approved RRF plans to 18. The decision allows the Commission to proceed to disbursement of pre-financing fund for the two states.

Dombrovskis said that the approvals mean the EU is now "well on track to putting the Recovery and Resilience Facility into positive effect."
