MNI BRIEF: Rates On Hold At Bank Of Thailand

Thailand's central bank has voted to keep its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 0.5% at Wednesday's meeting.

The Bank of Thailand's monetary policy committee voted 4 to 2 in favour of keeping rates on hold. The BoT last cut rates in mid-2020.

Earlier the Thai baht fell to a 16 month low, piercing the level of 33 to the USD in advance of the decision, which came in as expected.
