The Reserve Bank of Australia is in the process of selecting a number of proposed eAUD use cases to take forward into a pilot phase early next year, said Assistant Governor (Financial System) Brad Jones in speech on Thursday.

He said the Bank had received 140 use case proposals from around 80 entities, spanning everything from e-commerce payments to the trading and settlement of tokenised assets. The pilot phase will see the RBA issue a real digital claim to approved use case providers.
