MNI BRIEF: US CBO Projects November Budget Deficit Of $146B

WASHINGTON (MNI)

The nonpartisan U.S. Congressional Budget Office on Tuesday said the November federal budget deficit will be USD146 billion, down USD63 billion compared to the deficit in November 2019.

Outlays for the month of November were USD365 billion, up roughly 11% from the same month last year, CBO estimates, and receipts totaled USD219 billion, down 3% percent compared to the same month last year.

The federal budget deficit was USD430 billion for the first two months of fiscal year 2021, CBO projected, USD87 billion more than the deficit recorded during the same period last year.
