MNI BRIEF: US Prime Age EPOP Rate Jumps Half-Point in November

The employment-to-population ratio for workers in their prime working years (age 25-54) jumped to 78.8% in November from 78.3% in October, a big improvement for a key indictor watched by Fed officials in gauging the health of the labor market.

Prime-age EPOP was as high as 80.5% before the Covid-19 pandemic and sank to a low of 69.6% in April 2020.
