     LONDON (MNI) - With US markets closed to enjoy the Presidents' Day holiday,
there is a depleted calendar, dominated by central bankers.
     The Eurogroup gathering of eurozone finance ministers gets underway in
Brussels, with ECB President Mario Draghi and Executive Board member Benoit
Couere both slated to attend,
     The main event for Eurogroup this week is the choice of the nominee to
succeed Vitor Constancio as ECB Vice President in May. The two candidates ate
Spain's Luis de Guindos and Ireland's Philip Lane, with de Guindos favourite to
pick up the nomination.
     The European data calendar kicks off at 0900GMT, with the release of the
EMU current account data. At 1000GMT, the December construction production data
will be published.
     The ECB is scheduled to call for bids on the latest 7-day MRO at 1440GMT,
before releasing the current PSPP bond-buying data at 1445GMT.
     BOE Governor Mark Carney kicks off a busy week for the central bank at
1745GMT, with a speech in London.
