MNI: PBOC Net Drains CNY20 Billion
BEIJING (MNI) - The People's Bank of China (PBOC) skipped open market
operations(OMOs) for a second day on Tuesday. This resulted in a net drain of
CNY20 billion as the same amount of reverse repos matures today, according to
Wind Information.
- The PBOC said the current liquidity in the banking system is at a relatively
high level;
- 7-day weighted average interbank repo average rate for depository institutions
(DR007) increased to 2.4175% at 09:49 a.m. local time from the close of 2.2808%
on Monday: Wind Information;
- CFETS-NEX money-market sentiment index closed at 32 on Monday vs 24 on Friday.
