  • Ukraine-sceptic Republicans have seized on remarks made by Ukraine’s top general, Valery Zaluzhny, stating that he doesn’t believe Kyiv will make a “breakthrough” in their war with Russia, as evidence that the US need to re-evaluate aid.
  • President Biden will today host leaders and representatives from 11 western hemisphere states for the first Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity Leaders’ Summit.
  • US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Israel today – his second trip to the region this month - and part of a broader world trip which includes stops in Jordan, Japan, South Korea, and India.
  • Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen yesterday delivered a speech at the Asia Society designed to set the stage for President Biden's meeting with Chinse President Xi Jinping this month. US climate envoy John Kerry and his Chinese counterpart, Xie Zhenhua, will hold talks this weekend. On Monday, US and Chinese officials will hold their arms control talks since the Obama administration.
