MNI: The 10-year Bund yield trading sideways this morning less than 1bp higher
compared to yesterday's close.
- The Catalan president was vocal against the decision by the Spanish king to
side with the central government on the issue of the region's independence vote.
The Catalan parliament is to discuss the timing of the independence declaration
this Monday. The Bund-Bonos 10-year spread inching slowly higher towards
yesterday's high of 136.1 and currently trading 132.6bp wide.
- In supply news we have Spain selling new SPGB 0.45% Oct-22, Jan-29 & SPGBei
Nov-24 at 0950GMT. The French are selling E7.5-8.5b of Oats Nov-25, new May-28
and 2% May-48 at 1000GMT.
- The main economic events on the European calendar include the publishing of
the account of monetary policy meeting and speeches from ECB's Praet at 0830GMT
and ECB's Coeure at 1215GMT.
- Ireland was able to issue E4b worth of its 5-Year bonds with a zero coupon and
negative yields, which means that the country is basically being paid to borrow
the money.
