MNI: Yuan Parity Set Stronger At 6.2882, +9.57% Y/Y

     BEIJING (MNI) - PBOC set the yuan central parity rate vs the U.S. dollar at
6.2882 on Wednesday, stronger than Tuesday's 6.3072. The fixing has been set
higher after being weakened for two trading days.

     - PBOC started setting daily central parity rates on Jan 4, 2007.  
- On July 21, 2005, China changed to a managed float with reference to a basket
of currencies, freeing the yuan's peg to the dollar.  
- Starting March 17, 2014, the yuan is allowed to move 2% on either side of the
daily fixing against the dollar.
