     BEIJING (MNI) - PBOC set yuan central parity rate vs U.S. dollar at 6.4335
on Wednesday, stronger than Tuesday's 6.4372. Today's fixing is the strongest
since Dec. 10, 2015.

- PBOC started setting daily central parity rate on Jan. 4, 2007.
- On July 21, 2005, China changed to a managed float with reference to a basket
of currencies, freeing yuan's peg to the dollar.
- Starting March 17, 2014, yuan is allowed to move 2% on either side of the
daily fixing against the dollar.
