CHINA PRESS: Mortgage rates in Guangzhou have been raised again, with mortgage
rates for buyers of second homes rising as much as 20%, the 21st Century
Business Herald reported Wednesday. Mortgage rate for first-time home buyers
have risen 5%, and for second-home buyers 10% at China Construction Bank, Bank
of Communications and HSBC, the report said. China Citic Bank increased its
mortgage rate by 5% for first-time home buyers and by 20% for second-home
buyers, while China Everbright Bank raised both rates 20%, the report said.
