Nagy to Speak at Conference on Inflation and Growth

  • Hungary's final trade surplus was EUR558.85m in July compared to the preliminary reading of EUR696.57m. Exports rose by an annual 3.3% while imports decreased by 13%.
  • Hungary's manufacturing PMI rose to 47.4 in September from a revised 46.7 in August. Among the sub-indices, the new orders index fell from the previous month and was under the 50-point mark. The production volume index increased and was over 50.
  • The Minister for Economic Development Marton Nagy will speak at a conference about inflation and growth at 0830BST/0930CET. Looking ahead, retail sales and industrial production data are on the docket later in the week.
