Israel’s Karish gas field remains operational despite Chevron yesterday shutting the Tamar and Leviathion gas fields off Isreal for “a brief period of time as a precautionary measure” due to the strikes by Iran, according to Bloomberg.

  • “We are operating and producing as usual. We retain our confidence in Israel’s capability to protect strategic assets,” said an Energean spokesperson.
  • Natural gas produced from Karish, located near the settled maritime border with Lebanon, is primarily sold to the Israeli power generation sector.
