NATGAS: TTF Rallies on Extension of Nyhamna and Kollsnes Works

TTF has rallied again today after Gassco showed a two day extension to the Nyhamna and Kollsnes maintenance until September 8. Although the current maintenance season is not expected to be as heavy as last year the market remains wary of any extensions to planned works. 

  • Norwegian pipeline supplies to Europe have fallen to the lowest since May 21 at 235.9mcm/d today, according to Bloomberg amid field and processing plant maintenance.
  • Gassco shows capacity reductions of 141mcm/d today and into the weekend before rising to a peak of 237mcm/d on Sept. 2 - 7.
  • Other field outages in the coming week include at Asgard, Skarv, Sleipner, Karsto, Gullfaks, Kirstin, Heidrun, Johan Sverdrup and Njord and Troll.  See table below for details and timings.
    • TTF OCT 24 up 1.2% at 39.32€/MWh
    • TTF WIN 24 up 0.7% at 41.3€/MWh
    • TTF SUM 25 up 0.7% at 40.02€/MWh
