Norwegian Gas Maintenances: Troll Field To Return Today

Norway’s Troll field is scheduled to return today from annual maintenance, after several delays to the start up according to Gassco.

  • The Troll field, with 21.5mcm/d of unavailable capacity, started yearly maintenance on 19 June.
  • The Kollsnes processing plant has extended an unplanned outage until 15 July, limiting output by 9mcm/d amid processing problems. The unplanned event started on 13 July.
  • Shell confirmed the restart of the 79.8mcm/d Nyhamna processing plant on 15 July after earlier uncertainty following a previous outage extension after annual maintenance.
  • Maintenance at the Ormen Lange field is scheduled to end 15 July, affecting 24.2mcm/d. the field has another unavailability of 6.8mcm/d planned for 15-16 July.
  • The 25.8mcm/d Aasta Hansten field will return on 15 July from annual maintenance. The field has another maintenance scheduled for 15-17 July, affecting 13.8mcm/d.
  • Pipeline flows from Norway to Europe stood at 274.3mcm/d today, from a low of around 220mcm/d at times in June during annual maintenance season.
