OIL: OPEC Output Fell 70k b/d in August: Bloomberg

OPEC crude production is seen falling 70k b/d in August, according to the latest Bloomberg survey.

  • This takes output from OPEC members to 27.06m b/d.
  • Libya led the drop in production, down 150k b/d, followed by small decreases of 10k b/d each from Algeria and Saudi Arabia.
  • Iraq, a consistent overproducer, kept its production stable at 4.32m b/d, 320k b/d above its voluntary quota.
  • Nigeria saw the largest rise in output, up 50k b/d to 1.48m b/d.
