CDU capacity utilisation rates at China’s state-owned refineries are expected to rise in the week to Sep. 26, according to OilChem, as Tianjin Petrochem resumes normal operations of its CDU.

  • Among independent refineries in China’s Shandong province, CDU capacity utilisation rates are also estimated to rise with Kenli Petrochem and Shangneng Petrochem yet to reach full capacity.
  • CDU capacity utilisation rates at domestic refineries in China averaged 70.29% last week, up 0.06 percentage points on the previous seven-day period.
  • China’s gasoline demand is projected to regain momentum with downstream players building stocks in advance of the National Day Holiday.
  • Gasoil demand is likely to be interrupted by the frequent typhoon and heavy rainfalls.
