OIL PRODUCTS: Russian Oil Product Shipments Recovered 9% in September

OIL PRODUCTS

Russian refined oil product shipments rose 9% in September to about 2.1mb/d as flows recovered from the low levels seen in August led by increased exports of diesel and fuel oil. Recent seasonal Russian refinery maintenance has limited fuel output and product availability for export.

  • Diesel and gasoil exports rose 9% m/m to about 792kb/d in September to recover from a 10-month low driven by a rise in cargoes to Brazil.
  • Naphtha flows dropped by 2% m/m to about 376kb/d with growing shipments to Africa offsetting declines to other regions.
  • Gasoline and blending component flows rose to 72kb/d and jet fuel flows were 38kb/d.
  • Fuel oil shipments rose 8% m/m to the highest for the year at 726kb/d while refinery feedstock increased 41% m/m to 139kb/d.
