CHINA FX: On this morning's volatility in the CNY and CNH, analysts at Credit
Suisse write that the suspension of the counter-cyclical adjustment factor
signals that policy-makers are no longer concerned about CNY weakness and
capital outflows and that, in fact, CNY strength against a basket of currencies
has become more concerning. As such, the policy-makers may look to weaken the
CNY further over time.
