IRELAND: Paschal Donohoe TD, announced that Ireland intends to repay its
remaining loans from the IMF (approx. E4.5bn), together with bilateral
facilities agreed with Sweden (E0.6bn) and Denmark (E0.4bn), a total of circa
E5.5bn. - Could leave Irish debt a little softer on potential supply. However,
NTMA make the point that "From a funding perspective there is no immediate
effect as the proposal is at request stage".
- Also, any replacement of loans with marketable debt also increases the
purchase capacity for IGBs.
