PBF Energy’s Martinez Refinery Restarts Unit After Process Trip

PBF Energy’s 157kbpd Martinez refinery northeast of San Francisco, California restarted a unit on June 6 after a process trip during start-up, according to a filing with California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services.

  • The plant restored power and completed the restart of the unspecified unit on Thursday morning.
  • The refinery is a high-conversion facility and one of the most complex refineries in the United States, according to PBF Energy’s website.
