PEPP Purchases Continue To Pick Up From Low Base

ECB

ECB net purchases picked up to E13.6bln in the week to March 11, vs E12.4bln the prior week and E2.6bln the week before that. PEPP net buys likewise edged higher to a 3-week high of E8.9bln, offsetting a slowdown in PSPP purchases.

  • Redemptions for both PSPP (E3.5bln) and PEPP (E3.1bln) were fairly typical.
  • Covered bond, CSPP, and ABS (year's high) net buys all increased vs the prior week.
