Pipeline in Corridor with PoS 2 Could Have 30m mt Capacity: Novak

The project to build an oil pipeline in parallel to the proposed Power of Siberia 2 gas project linking Russian oil and gas with China is in the very early stages of discussion, according to Russia’s Deputy PM Alexander Novak, cited by Interfax.

  • This is a promising project, which could be implemented. Currently it is in the stage of concept formation, Novak told journalists.
  • Its capacity could be different, depending on demand. I think it could be up to 30m mt, Novak added.
  • In addition, Novak stressed that the specifics of the plan are still in a very early stage. “It is a question of diversifying exports,” he added.
