PLN: Zloty Outperforms Regional Peers

PLN

EUR/PLN has edged ahead of its CE3 peers (PLN/CZK +0.2%, PLN/HUF +0.1%), with EUR/PLN (last at 4.2642) falling to its lowest levels since mid-August. This brings key support from Aug 16 low of 4.2614 into play and a breach of that level would open up the next support zone around 4.25.

  • USD/PLN last deals at 3.8274, 166 pips worse off on the day but still within yesterday's range. A dip through Sep 18 low of 3.8129 would allow bears to take aim at Aug 26 low of 3.8082.
  • There has been little in the way of notable headlines out of Poland, with the government discussing support measures for the victims of recent floods.
