The Polish Senate has unanimously passed a new law aimed at introducing regulations to set tailored maximum auction prices for different project areas, it said, cited by ISB News.

  • The act is expected to reduce costs for end users and allows for distinct maximum prices based on the characteristics of various offshore wind farm groups.
  • Additionally, it prevents excessively high-cost offshore wind farm projects and supports a sufficient supply of viable projects for auctions.
  • The new regulations will take effect the day after their publication in the Journal of Laws.
