POWER: EIB to Fund 62MW Austrian Wind Project

The EIB will provide up to €20.1mn of funding to install wind turbines for a 62MW wind farm in Austria, with the unit anticipated to be fully commissioned in 2027-28, it said.

  • The first phase of the construction – started in May – will see four turbines installed, which will be connected within a year, with the remaining seven built in 2027-28.
  • Austria plans to become climate-neutral by 2040.
