Poland’s draft amendment to its Capacity Market Act – which proposes supplementary auctions for 2H25 and for the delivery years 2026 to 2028 – has been submitted for consultation, according to Government legislation, cited By ISB News.

  • The supplementary auctions will be held less than a year before the capacity obligation begins, following the additional capacity market auctions.
  • Holding supplementary auctions after the additional auctions will maximise low-emission capacity, as these units can compete in both primary and supplementary auctions, it added.
