POWER: Polish Orlen Anticipates Power Prices at PLN400/MWh for Remainder of 2024

Polish Orlen anticipates average electricity prices at around PLN400/MWh (€93.40/MWh) in Poland for the remainder of the year, a fall compared to PLN512/MWh in 2023, owing to rising renewable output and lower emission prices, it said.

  • Natural gas prices are anticipated at around PLN160/MWh (€37.36/MWh) a drop from PLN202/MWh in 2023 due to high EU storage levels, Orlen added.
  • TTF Gas SEP 24 up 1.1% at 37.40 EUR/MWh
  • EUA DEC 24 down 0.1% at 72.09 EUR/MT
  • The Polish September contract closed at PLN454.77/MWh on 21 August, according to TGE.
