US Exim bank will give €89.2mn of funding to Romanian firm RoPower for the development of SMRs in the country, with the firm eyeing 463MW of installed capacity, it said.

  • The commitment is part of an initial financing package of €248mn.
  • The firm plans to build six SMRs – each with 77MW of capacity – to be installed near the former Doicesti coal plant, World Nuclear News said in July.
