Scotland has approved Kona Energy’s 228MW battery storage unit in Scotland, with the plant able to store around 456MWh, the firm said.

  • The exact date of commissioning was not given but UK developer RES is building a BESS unit with 50MW  of capacity and at a similar stage that would take around a year or so, RES said in July.
