The Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge has allocated €167.6mn of support for 811MW (3.59GWh) of energy storage projects, it said, cited by PV Magazine.

  • These projects are valued between €170/kWh and €409/kWh (before subsidies), with a storage duration of approximately 4 hours.
  • 150mn of the aid will be granted to 35 battery storage projects, with a combined capacity of 757MW. 80MW of the capacity is found in the Canary Islands.
  • The projects will be launched between 2025 and 2026.
